Duplessy Purposeships
Duplessy
purposeships is a unique fellowship program designed to give its
participants, Purpose Fellows, a practical insight on their life’s
purpose in action. The purposeship program aims to address the need for
young adults to have intensive and meaningful experiences on their road
to pursuing their life purpose. The fellowship will remove barriers of
cost and lack of depth in opportunities for the foundation's target
population, young adults 18-24 years old not enrolled in four-year
institutions of higher learning.
Purpose
Fellows will volunteer with a partner organization in their area of
interest for a special 8-12 week project addressing a specific business
problem for the partner organization. During the process of their
project, partner organizations will help Purpose Fellows create a
unique ‘purpose plan.’
At
the end of a purposeship, Purpose Fellows will have an intense,
meaningful experience and a practical vision to pursue their life’s
purpose. Fellows will receive long term support, up to 10 years, from
the foundation to follow up on their purpose plan. Each Purpose Fellow
will also receive a purposeship grant to cover the cost associated with
their purposeship.
The Duplessy Foundation will
work with partner organizations in selecting purpose fellows for the purposeship program.
