Urban Scholars

Urban Scholars is a year-round college preparatory program that challenges Boston youth with classes taught by college professors and graduate students. The program features a middle school program that focuses on math and sciences and a high school component that focuses on writing, reading, and critical thinking. Over 1000 students have participated in the program over 22 years, with nearly 90% of those who have graduated from the program graduating from 4-year colleges and universities.

Summer Search

Summer Search is a dynamic program that provides urban youth with an opportunity to discover their potential in the form of wilderness expedition trips, academic programs, and international community service. Summer Search began in 1990 in the San Francisco Bay Area, and currently serves over 600 students and over 2000 alumni in San Francisco, Boston, New York City, Seattle, Napa and Sonoma counties, and Silicon Valley. Over 93% of students go on to college (95% are the first generation to do so).
